Q1

WHY GENDER EQUITY CERTIFICATION?

Gender equity isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s good for business. Attracting, engaging, and retaining best-in-class talent is a challenge for many employers. Being certified as a “Leader in Gender Equity” sets you apart in a competitive marketplace.

In addition to accessing the latest research, policies, and best practices, you’ll:

  • Join a collaborative community of action-oriented peers in your region

  • Learn from experts and thought leaders in gender equity, implicit bias, diversity and inclusion, and change management

  • Receive an in-depth analysis of your organization’s results as well as recommended next steps

  • Get a benchmark report comparing results with other certified employers

  • Participate in ongoing learning and networking opportunities

Once certified, your organization will receive the Queen City Certified "Leader in Gender Equity" seal to use in your marketing materials and a listing on the Queen City Certified website.

IS THERE A COST ASSOCIATED WITH CERTIFICATION?

Fees are determined by the total number of employees in an organization, for-profit or non-profit status, and participation in a pay equity audit. Please contact us for more information.

HOW LONG DOES CERTIFICATION LAST?

All levels of certification are valid for two years. After two years, you must renew your certification. You can recertify at the base level once. After a total of four years, you will be expected to move from Certified to Silver. There is no time limit to move from Silver to Gold.
